Town Looking to Hire Temp Truck Drivers/Laborers

The Town of Branford is looking to hire temporary truck drivers/laborers for the Public Works Department. The job is a 40-hour a week position for a period of 90 days. The salary is $21.99 a hour.

The work consists of maintaining town roads; cutting, cleaning and disposing of windstorm debris and roadside trash. Additional work could involve plowing snow; sanding and salting the roads; operating a wood chipper; replacing traffic signs; and painting interior walls and trim.
Qualification Requirements: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Four years of experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must maintain a valid CDL State of Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operators license, Class B
Selection Process: Formal application, rating of education and experience; oral interview and reference check; job related tests may be required.
