Ready For The Beach? Make Sure You Have Your Branford Resident Sticker!

Though there's some cloud-cover today, the heat of summer is certainly here and what better way to enjoy the summer than to hit up one of our great town beaches or parks. But before you pack up the beach umbrella, sunscreen and sand toys, don't forget to make sure you have your beach sticker!

Branford residents must get a $5 resident sticker every two years, which grants Branford residents access to the parking lot at Branford Point as well as parking at various parks including Foote Park and Parker Park.

If you already have a sticker on your car, it should be good until March 31, 2014, but if you're new to town, got a new car or just never got a sticker, you'll have to head to Town Hall and pick yours up. (Though if you transferred your plates from another car that had a sticker, there's no charge for a replacement!)

In addition to beach and park access, your resident sticker also allows you to bring materials to the Transfer Station/Recycling Center free of charge (some restrictions apply).

To get your sticker, visit the Office of the Tax Collector with your driver's license (Branford address), your vehicle registration (registered in Branford) and $5 in cash. Your car taxes must be current in order to receive your sticker.

And did you know that if you're 65 or older or a Branford volunteer firefighter, your resident sticker is free of charge?
