Meet Branford Patch's Editor (For The Summer)

Davis Dunavin will be filling in for new mom Nicole Ball until August. Get to know a little about him and let him know what you'd like to talk about this summer.

You may have noticed I'm not Nicole. While she's off caring for her , I'll be filling in as interim editor for Branford Patch.

A little about myself: I'm a recent transplant to Connecticut from the Midwest (specifically, Missouri, where I just finished my master's degree at the University of Missouri Journalism School.) I've previously written for arts and entertainment magazines, local newspapers and public radio. But there's nothing I love more than getting into the groove of a fun, thriving, vibrant community.

In the few days I've had to spend so far in Branford, I've been charmed deeply by Main Street, Parker Memorial Park and all the great people I've met. I can't wait to meet more of you.

Nicole will be back in August, so I'll be with you through some great stuff coming up - including high school graduation, , and the Branford Festival - not to mention all the stories each Branford resident has to share with the town. So drop me a line and let me know about your Branford. Where should I be, and what would you like to hear about, this summer?

You can share your thoughts in the comments section, e-mail me at davisdunavin@gmail.com or hit up @BranfordPatch on Twitter and Facebook. If you'd like to chat in person, I'll be working throughout the week at . (Look for the guy in my profile photo, or the green Patch sticker on my laptop.) Drop by, introduce yourself, and we'll chat!
