Your Historic Property May Be Eligible For Hurricane Damage Funding

The Connecticut State Historic Preservation has funding available to homeowners and non-profits of historic buildings for the repair of damages caused by Superstorm Sandy.

If you own or are involved in the upkeep of a property listed on the National Register of Historic Places (or one that is eligible for this listing) and the property sustained damage from Superstorm Sandy, you need to come to this public information session:

Meeting:
Monday, Sept. 23, 7pm

Canoe Brook Senior Center, 11 Cherry Hill Road, Branford

The meeting is sponsored by Branford Town Hall and will be conducted by the Department of Economic and Community Development and the State Historic Preservation Office.

Under public law, the preservation office was awarded $8 million to provide technical assistance and emergency repairs to historic buildings.

The grant program is available to owners of historic resources and includes private property owners, municipalities, non-profits and corporations.
