Branford Land Trust presented Nature Explorers Animal Tracking Class this past weekend. See what we found!

The Branford Land Trust's Nature Explorer program offered an animal tracking class in Lake Saltonstall forest in Branford on Saturday, February 26.  Tom Cleveland and Jim Fox  led the class and shared their knowledge and expertise identifying various animal tracks, including deer, coyote and fisher cats. About twenty people attended including beginners as well as experienced trackers. Focus was on recognizing animal and bird footprints and their movement through the forest. The morning trek proved to be an interesting and informative look into the  living patterns of our wildlife.
