The Branford Planning and Zoning Office will approve the application by Legacy Theater to operate the former Puppet House building in Stony Creek, reports the Branford Seven, an online news source covering the town of Branford.
The Stony Creek Association has urged the town to deny the application stating a theater-use is not allowed for the site, Branford Seven reports. The association also claims that the use is too intensive for the property.
There are varying degrees of proposed uses for the site including weeklong shows twice a year, and documents that show shows for up to six weeks at a time, the Branford Seven reports.
