A Hot and Humid Start to the Week

The heat and humidity will remain with us for the first half of the week. It looks like conditions will return to more seasonable levels by Thursday along with plenty of sunshine!

For Monday and Tuesday although it will be warm, it’s the humidity that will be the major problem. Dewpoints will be pushing into the low-70s! This will make those temperatures feel some five to 10 degrees warmer than they actually are. So for anyone trying to make some outdoor plans, I would recommend having them later in the week. That is unless you’re going to the beach or water park (stay tuned to Branford Patch to find out if the is open for swimming after the waters were deemed contaminated).

Monday: Partly to mostly sunny, hot and humid. Highs in the mid-80s. Dewpoints will be quite uncomfortable in the low-70s. There is a very slight chance for an afternoon shower or thundershower. Overnight lows will be warm near 70 degrees.

Tuesday: Some patchy fog in the morning. Otherwise partly cloudy with highs in the upper-80s. Very humid, with dewpoints in the low-70s. Storms are likely to develop in the afternoon hours. Some may be severe. Overnight lows in the upper-60s.
