BRIDGEPORT – Housatonic Community College Academic Bill Griffin of Clinton was honored at the college recently for his foresight in laying the groundwork for the college’s Regional Advanced Manufacturing Center. Griffin, who has long predicted the return of manufacturing to the United States and the region, has brought campus groups together to identify equipment and resources for a lab, build crucial partnerships with educational and manufacturing partners, design the lab and adjoining studios, recruit and hire faculty and staff, design marketing materials and campaigns, and recruit and register students. In the accompanying photo, Griffin (center) is shown with HCC President Anita T. Gliniecki of Monroe (left) and Academic Dean Elizabeth Roop of Stratford (right). The Regional Advanced Manufacturing Center serves students from a 43-town region in Fairfield, New Haven and Middlesex counties that extends from the New York State line to the Connecticut River and north to the Middletown, Meriden, and the Danbury/Waterbury area.

rather harsh and does not mention Congress or that fact that any CEO expects their chain of commandRead More to do the job assigned. The events of the last few years, the endless wars, homeland terrorism etc. Not an easy time for any Commander -in Chief. When an article simply slams and does not balance with positive accomplishments, it is hard to see the readers point of view
