Tisko Running Club Finishes Another Successful Session

The Mary R. Tisko School in Branford recently finished another successful fall session of its Running Club, spearheaded by parent Meredith Morrissey and run by numerous volunteers. Registered students in kindergarten through 4th grade met every Tuesday morning before school for eight weeks to focus on participation, developing a healthy lifestyle, running activities, and the competitive aspect of running. Some participants even competed in the Branford Rotary and Y Thanksgiving Day Kids Fun Run, during which the Running Club was awarded a trophy for the largest school participation for the second year in a row. The Running Club would like to thank its sponsors in Campus Customs, CTQDROS.COM, Donovan’s Reef, Elements, Lockworks Dental, Penner Law Firm, Radiology Group, Sound Heating and Air Conditioning, Zane’s Cycles and an anonymous sponsor. The Running Club is open to all Tisko students of any age and ability and will hold a spring session starting in April.
