Annual Shockley Swim Meet To Be Held on March 10th at Walsh Intermediate School

The Branford Recreation Department in conjunction with the Corcoran Sundquist American Legion Post #83 is pleased to announce that the 52nd Annual Shockley Swim Meet will be held at the Walsh Intermediate School Swimming pool on Monday, March 10th, 2014.  Warm-ups will begin at 5:00 p.m.
This event is a fun swim meet that all can participate in.  It is open to all boys and girls of Branford and all members of the Branford Soundview Y Stingrays.  All swimmers should pre-register at the Branford Recreation Department prior to the day of the event and be at the pool no later than 5:00 p.m.  Each swimmer is limited to two events.  Events with low entry will not be held.  Come join in on the fun!!! Awards will be given to the top three places in each event and every swimmer will receive a participation ribbon.  Please call the Recreation Department at (203)488-8304.  The following are the list of events by age groups:
Eight and Under: 25 Freestyle Girls, 25 Freestyle Boys, 25 Butterfly Girls, 25 Butterfly Boys, 25 Backstroke Girls, 25 Backstroke Boys, 25 Breaststroke Girls, 25 Breaststroke Boys.

9 and 10 Year Old Division and 11 &12 Year Old Division: 50 Freestyle Girls, 50 Freestyle Boys, 50 Butterfly Girls, 50 Butterfly Boys, 50 Backstroke Girls, 50 Backstroke Boys, 50 Breaststroke Girls, 50 Breaststroke Boys.

13 Years Old and Over Division: 100 Freestyle Girls, 100 Freestyle Boys, 100 Butterfly Girls, 100 Butterfly Boys, 100 Backstroke Girls, 100 Backstroke Boys, 100 Breaststroke Girls, 100 Breaststroke Boys. 

All Age Events: 500 Freestyle Girls and 500 Freestyle Boys
