Read to Grow Benefits from Uno Alla Volta Holiday Catalog Purchases

In this season of giving, Uno Alla Volta founder Terri Alpert has found a way to bring the gift of literacy to Connecticut’s children by telling her customers all around the country about Read to Grow and their unique programs.  Thanks to Terri’s generosity, Read to Grow will be featured in Uno Alla Volta’s holiday catalog and a portion of its sales will be donated to the organization.

Terri, who works with artisans around the world to develop uniquely handcrafted treasures for her online catalog company, was so touched by the work of Read to Grow th at she is donating a portion of any purchase made between now and December 15th to the nonprofit organization. Visit www.unoallavolta.com  and enter the source code NP3RTG upon checking out to direct a donation to Read to Grow.

Read to Grow is the only statewide nonprofit literacy organization that connects with families in the hospital setting when a baby is born, engaging parents in their child’s language development from day one. Read to Grow also provides free children’s books to families and works with a network of community-based health and human services agencies, schools, and childcare programs to reach as many children as possible with developmentally appropriate books.

Read to Grow has distributed more than 1,000,000 books, reaching 100,000 children each year. For more information, to make a donation, to volunteer, or to request books, please call 203-488-6800 or visit its website: www.readtogrow.org.
