Community Foundation Grant Strengthens VNA of South Central CT's Position as the Region's Safety Net

New Haven (December 10, 2013) – John R. Quinn, President & CEO of the Visiting Nurse Association of South Central Connecticut (VNA/SCC) serving the Greater New Haven area, announced that VNA/SCC has been awarded a multi-year grant from The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to be used for general operating support for community health and home care services.

The multi-year grant has been awarded in the cumulative amount of $150,000 for 3 years with $50,000 to be disbursed per year. Funding was made possible through The Community Foundation’s Jennie C. Bronson preference fund established in 1976. It will enable the organization to expand its technology to continue provision of high-quality care to uninsured/underinsured patients, and assist clinicians in communicating quickly and providing efficient care.
