Branford's "Pat Andriole Family Day" Scheduled for Sunday, September 29th

The town of Branford will join with the State of Connecticut and numerous organizations in celebrating FAMILY DAY on September 29th, 2013 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  The event in Branford has been renamed the Pat Andriole Family Day, in honor of the former director of the Branford Counseling Center, who recently retired after serving the town of Branford unselfishly for many years. All events are scheduled to take place on the Branford Town Green.  In the event of inclement weather, all activities will take place inside the Branford Recreation Department.
The campaign "Valuing Connecticut's Families...It's Everyone's Business", distinguishes families as the basic building blocks of society and encourages the support of families.  It focuses on the ever day issues and events central to the core health of the family tradition, family strength, and family community interdependence and work/family issues.
All parents, children of all ages, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends are welcomed to attend this event.  Scheduled activities, both fun and educational, relay games, food, entertainment, story telling, a children's essay contest on "What Family Means to Me" and much more will be offered.
This free event is sponsored thanks in part to the Branford Counseling Center, the Branford Recreation Department , and other Branford agencies.  For more information, please call the Counseling Center at 481-4248.  All are welcomes to attend a fun filled but MOST IMPORTANTLY, a FAMILY-FILLED EVENT.
