Recently the mom of a little girl that was turning 6 years old, had contacted Branford Compassion Club about having her daughter's friends buy needed items for BCC in lieu of birthday gifts. We told her the kinds of items that we were most in need of, and last weekend they came to BCC with their daughter and some of her friends to drop off the 'gifts' and were also given a tour of BCC's shelter. Below is a list of all the items they donated:
11 bags Purina One (3.5lbs each)
1 Purina Cat chow (7lbs)
24 rolls of paper towels
2 boxes of 13 gallon trash bags
3 feline greenies (12 oz total)
1 cat bed
2 litter pans
2 scoopers
12 large towels
1 cat toy
45 Purina Pro Plan cans wet food (3 oz each)
1 box of 45 tall kitchen bags - 13 gallons
What a wonderful alternative to showering young children with even more material possessions when, in many cases, they already have more than they need.
