Join a Cause for Community: Join the Y

When dealing with life’s daily demands, people need a place to go where they can feel supported. Adults need help finding balance in life and motivation in managing their health.

Children need safe environments where they’re nurtured and inspired to reach their full potential. Seniors need a place where they can be active and find camaraderie. And, families need opportunities and places to connect and strengthen relationships with one another.

The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA – a leading nonprofit that strengthens community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility – offers this support and more, and during its annual membership campaign is encouraging the East Haven, Branford, Hamden/North Haven, Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull, and Valley communities to join the Y.

“At the Y, you’re not only part of an organization, but part of a community and a cause that benefits you and your neighbors,” says Barbara Moore, Association Membership Director, Central Connecticut Coast YMCA. “Here, a membership means more – it’s an opportunity to feel good while being part of a cause that helps make positive changes in people’s lives.”

The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA offers a variety of programs to the community, with something for everyone, including group exercise classes, swim lessons, water exercise, child care, camp and afterschool programs to name a few.

Last year, the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA helped thousands of individuals and adults experience something special.

rather harsh and does not mention Congress or that fact that any CEO expects their chain of commandRead More to do the job assigned. The events of the last few years, the endless wars, homeland terrorism etc. Not an easy time for any Commander -in Chief. When an article simply slams and does not balance with positive accomplishments, it is hard to see the readers point of view
