is recruiting for the position of Part-Time Custodian.
Rate: $10.01 per hour
Part-Time Position: Approximately 19.5 hours a week

Essential Functions: Work under the direction of the General Government Buildings Lead Tradesman and Custodian Foreman. Perform a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks in the custodian care and maintenance of Town buildings. Four nights, four hours 2 A.M. - 6 A.M
Qualification Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. A combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge to perform custodial work. Working knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in buildings and grounds maintenance; Remove snow and ice from Town building walkways. Valid driver’s license. Background Investigation for Police Department required.
Selection Process: 100% Training and Experience Assessment.
The Town of Branford reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be considered for the position.
The files of all qualified candidates will be maintained for a minimum of six months from the announcement date, and the qualified candidates will be considered for the same or similar positions which may become available during this timeframe.
All candidates not employed by the Town of Branford, prior to employment, must successfully pass a post-offer medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test given at the Town's expense.
The Town of Branford conducts background investigations for all positions prior to hiring. Refusal to sign the release form will terminate the candidate from further consideration.
