Five Branford Residents Named to Middlesex Dean's List

Five Branford residents, Eric Accardi, Michael Antonetti, Colin Cunningham, Michael Orts, and Adam Williams, were named to the Middlesex Community College “Dean’s List” for high academic achievement during the last term.  To make the list, students achieved a grade point average of more than 3.7 for all courses taken during the spring 2012 semester.

“We know our students work hard for each grade, and the Dean’s List is one formal way to recognize their outstanding academic achievement,” said Dr. Anna Wasescha, MxCC president.  “Our instructors have set high expectations and developed challenging course content, so earning these grades takes dedication, commitment and vigor.  We are impressed with their efforts, and congratulate each student on their success.”

Founded in 1966, Middlesex Community College (mxcc.edu) is part of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities Board of Regents for Higher Education. The school offers more than 50 degree or certificate programs at its three locations:  the main, 38-acre campus in Middletown, the downtown Meriden Center, and the shoreline in Old Saybrook.  The college promotes understanding, learning, ethics, and self-discipline by encouraging critical thinking.  Current enrollment exceeds 2,875 full and part-time students, and 1,600 continuing education students.

rather harsh and does not mention Congress or that fact that any CEO expects their chain of commandRead More to do the job assigned. The events of the last few years, the endless wars, homeland terrorism etc. Not an easy time for any Commander -in Chief. When an article simply slams and does not balance with positive accomplishments, it is hard to see the readers point of view
