A hero is someone you can count on, someone you can trust, someone who puts others first and is always looking out for the best interest of others. That same hero will stand by you through good times and bad and is always there in a time of need. They are silent angels that come into our lives and bring gifts of love, compassion, friendship and in many cases carry us through difficult times when we need them the most.
I am proud to say, I met a hero. He lives right here in Branford, CT. His name is Jim Boyd of 37 Sunset Beach Road. I purchased my little home over two years ago that abuts the Boyd property, the day I arrived to view the property, I was welcomed with a big hug and a smile that said welcome neighbor! I knew then, that I had found home.
Jim has gone above and beyond helping my family and I in a multitude of ways with our property and our family. He is always there for all in our community to lend a helping hand with a storm, maintaining the community beach for countless years, helping those in distress with their properties and anything else you need.
Jim is and has been there for all of us. I cannot say enough about this man who is and has been so generous with his time and hard work, in many instances putting his personal life aside to help another.
You are my hero, Jim Boyd, and I want to share this with the Town of Branford and all those whom you've been there for and those that are too blind to see the special gifts you given to our community at Sunset Beach. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and may you and your family have a Very Merry Christmas!
