Summer Fun During Spring Break [PHOTOS]

Yesterday a red flag warning was put into affect with dry weather and gusty winds increasing the chances of fire. As temperatures climbed into the mid 70s, many felt as though they were on fire… at least it seemed that way down at where children and adults dove head-first into the chilly Long Island Sound looking for some reprieve from the unseasonably warm spring temperatures.

The beach was teaming with residents enjoying the sun and surf – many taking advantage of time off thanks to April break from school.

Branford Beach Pass Info

Residents must obtain a $5 resident sticker every two years, which grants Branford residents access to the parking lot at  ( is also a town beach) as well as parking at various parks including . Resident stickers expire on the March 31 of every even year.

The resident sticker is also valid for use of the town 

If you are renewing your sticker,  so long as you own the same vehicle (VIN). It is necessary to come to to purchase a sticker in the vehicle or vehicle owner is different from the previous purchase.
