Elvis Fan in Search of Branford Connection

A former area resident shopped at a now-closed music store in Branford where he purchased his first "Moody Blue" album by Elvis Presley. Do you know the name of the store?

Today marks the 35th anniversiary of the death of Elvis Presley. Many are reflecting today on The King, his music and his legacy.

This morning Patch received an e-mail from one such nastolgic reader. He's looking for a now-closed music store on Main Street in Branford where he bought an Elvis album. Can you help?

My name is Louis Lange.  I currently reside in Portsmouth, new Hampshire but did much of my growing up in Madison.
There was a famous music store right on Main Street in Branford which closed within the last 5 years.  it was one of the last independent music stores in the state (along the line of Cutler's in New Haven), but I cannot remember the name of the store.  Do you know what it was or would you please ask around?
I was having a conversation with a friend about Elvis's passing (35 years ago today) and mentioned how I had purchased his "Moody Blue" album in this store.
